Is reverse flushing neeeded? How to do it when needed? Thanks.?At the year 02' I wouldn't think that you need a radiator flush, but just in case that you are still wondering check your owners manual for specifications. When you change the coolant and check for leaks that should be good.I am planning to change coolant for my car. Is reverse flushing neeeded? How to do it when needed? Thanks.?WWWWWWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOO, do this make first, sure the radiator is full, disconnect the hose at the radiator that comes off of the water pump, take off the radiator cap and just put your garden hose in there alittle bit without it running, crank the car and let it idle warm, when the water start's to come out then turn on your water hose to keep the water going through the radiator, when the waterlook's clear then turn off the hose and then the car. Connect the radiator hose back, then start adding anitfreeze, a gallon will due. fill the radiator to the top with water now and crank the car leaving the raditor cap off. The water level will drop in a couple of minute's when it start's to flow so just keep adding water until it level's off at the cap, put the cap back on then shut off the car. You have now flushed the system and added the new stuff.I am planning to change coolant for my car. Is reverse flushing neeeded? How to do it when needed? Thanks.?No but cant hurt. You can purchase a flush kit w/cleaner for a few bucks. This will remove any deposits or residue left after removing coolant.
