My scooter is overheating after i changed the coolant?

hi, i changed the coolant (as per service manual) however it now overheats. my brother (mechanic) said there may be a bubble in the system. there is nothing in the manual to suggest bubbles or their removal. also, the fan did not come on even when it was hot. (my bro thinks this is also because of the bubble.) Does anyone know how to remove a bubble or what could be causing the problem? My scooter is overheating after i changed the coolant?Yeah sounds like an air lock in the system.

With the engine cold, remove the radiator cap and start the engine, let it run and add more coolant until it's full. Then put the cap back on and let it all go cold again. Then remove the radiator cap and repeat. It may take several goes. Squeezing the hoses may help force water round the engine.

If you took the thermostat out, you could have put it in upside down. They have a small hole at the top to let air through. If it's upside down the air becomes trapped.
