2002 Jeep GC - smell and residue of antiftreeze on windows - no leeks anywhere visible - is there internal pob

I have checked hoses - heater core is external to internal system to my knowledge - no leakage anywhere visible- must be internal unit hose or tubing leak - does anyone know where and how to open internal unit to check?

I get tons of heat- have run on full heat and passenger side shows no leakage or wettness - it has to be small leak inside unit where air goes over the heating tubes- possibly bad connection clamp- this has been ongoing for some time- almost no coolant level changes- added once over 2 yr period and that was maybe 8 oz + in volumn. To find small leak is my hope- need to know how to get at internal area where air flows past internal tubing to check on possible leak- any thoughts there ?

Only notice smell and residue when fan blows onto windows - worried on possible health issues as antifreeze and the body do not mix well.2002 Jeep GC - smell and residue of antiftreeze on windows - no leeks anywhere visible - is there internal pobThe heater core is inside the cab behind the dash. That way the air change doors can regulate the heat effectively. It sounds like the heater core has a leak. Try pressure testing the coolant system and looking for a leak. Or you can try to take out the blower fan and MAYBE see inside to find the leak. As far as the health issues, I'm not sure. Possibly check the heater hose connections in the engine compartment for the heater core. Might have a small leak there due to a loose clamp. Good luck.2002 Jeep GC - smell and residue of antiftreeze on windows - no leeks anywhere visible - is there internal pobSorry to tell you this but you need a new heater core. you see...there are no %26quot; internal lines%26quot; for the heater or the A/C as you seem to think. the only way you can get antifreeze smell inside as well as residue in from the heater core.
