Any help would be greatJaguar s type 1999 advice on faults?Jaguar is a trust worthy company so i will recommend the you go to the companies main website or any dealer of that company near byJaguar s type 1999 advice on faults?top up/change oil! this will keep your motor from dying horribly.

replace track rod end this will help keep you alive and on the road.

remove cam cover and gasket, check for warp, replace gasket and refit if ok.

Change coolant every 6 mths use correct type and strength--this will help stop your motor corroding from the inside.

the first 2 are essential do NOW's, the others can wait a week or two, but I wouldn't leave them and forget.Jaguar s type 1999 advice on faults? If Jaguar dealer charges are similar to Mercedes I would suggest you look for a Jaguar independent garage, MB dealer 110 per hr and independent 55 per hr. As previously advised top up oil, renew track rod ends (i would always change the pair), renew cam shaft cover gasket and renew coolant, should be no more than a couple of hours labour plus parts (roughly 200).Jaguar s type 1999 advice on faults? There's nothing there any ordinary garage couldn't do.

You could top up the oil yourself.

Changing the track rod end (part of the steering mechanism) isn't a difficult job.

Unless oil's p**ing from the cam cover I'd leave it, but it's not a big job.

Changing the coolant is easy.
